The Impossibility of Crows "You are the task. No pupil far and wide" -Franz Kafka A random element in chance and a system to the Heavens A hundred thousand flaws An impossibility of crows A single lonely crow The heavens could destroy And yet I'm still standing still I won't let go For heaven simply means: "The impossibility of crows" There is no poet that is not a mystic There is no heart that doesn't crave a soul There is a language of the young, a language of the old, An impossibility of crows   So my love do not struggle My love do not let go I will be crawling to your river I will be crawling to your shore But there is no river And there is no shore There's only what is mine and only what is yours An impossibility of crows (The creature who says "me" and "mine" need not bend down in shame - along with lakes and mountains the ego is created and divine -Leonard Cohen)

Was the best of times, was the worst of times The pillars all a-shake And I sang no godly anthems And I hummed no proper prayers My Lord I have a vision It feels so right, it's true It fills me with decision Prevents me from abuse My Lord I'm making history Though I won't live that long Won't know if I've forsaken What was mine all along Was the best of times, was the worst of times Revolts against revolts against revolts I revised these lines a hundred times And my birth a million more My Lord I have a vision It feels so right, it's good It fills me with derision I'd kill you if I could My Lord I'm making history though I won't live that long Have I too been forsaken, did I really have a choice? Was the best of times, was the worst of times If only I'd live that long Was the best of times, was the worst of times I hope I won't live that long

Sophocles 04:42
Sophocles lays down to sleep Hypercharged with destiny He cares not for Law of Land He's concerned with Law Above And I want to be like Sophocles some days When I want my song to tame the world and set it ablaze Other days I'm just content when you Lay your love on me Other days my happiness is: You lay your love on me Sophocles can’t bear the weight by the visions that he's sent All he wants is SlowTime Grace and a way to heed the flame To all the lousy lovers To all fair-weathered friends Who want to be like Sophocles Well, there's a price to pay If you want your song to tame the world and set it ablaze If you want to finally belong and yet heed the flame Any path I choose to take Will you lay your love on me? Any song I choose to hear Will you lay your love on me?

The plants have all been watered The tears have all been shed The duende has been summoned The sorrows haven't wed You came into my fortress Alone and unafraid I once gave you my kingdom A hundred thousand stares (A million billion glares) For all the books we've written We can't articulate This deep and profund sadness We loathe and yet embrace A history of injustice Has no season nor end You seem to have forgotten I long for your caress I dreamt my skin was feathers A blessed hummingbird And told to drop from heaven And forced to fall from grace And waiting at the abyss A cage, a love, a nest With you I have recovered The joy, the bless, the faith To feel without the barriers To sex without the shame Your ownerless expression Of loss and love's repair Your heart lies there unburdened Your eyes themselves a prayer You say the words and mean it A dream you can't forget

about

Originally released February 8, 2019, before the "Tape Recorders" name existed.

Eliot. La canción había sido (a nivel consciente) inspirada por Kafka, no Eliot; sin embargo, el paralelismo entre las líneas “I will be crawling to your river / I’ll be crawling to your shore / But there is no river / There is no shore” y la sección de “If there was water (…) but there is no water” me pareció reveladora.
