pau96bat63 "The Gospel Rails" propels listeners along a rhythmic train ride of the imagination. The 5 music "tracks" direct & carry this "train of the mind." After departure sounds of a train horn & bells ring out on the title track, the onomatopoeic clickety-clack of railroad tracks sonically guides "The Shortest Way Home." A soothing respite of "Pariah Kites" gives way to pulsating clacking & tortured vocals of "Last Train to Madness." "Many Stations to Cross" completes this dynamic & rewarding journey. Favorite track: Last Train to Madness.

about

I've always loved train songs, from Johnny Cash to Kraftwerk and from Bob Dylan to Steve Reich.
I love trains themselves as well - but probably because the music taught me how to.
So here is a mini-album about trains. No actual train sounds were used, as it has been done to death. Rather, the experience has been recreated electronically in Tape Recorders style.
Hope you enjoy it!
