about

PHYSICAL COPIES AVAILABLE AT thetaperecordersswc.bandcamp.com/album/wire

"The album is like a dream and by the time I was done, I had been on a pilgrimage, at once fully human and transcendently godly (.. ) A compelling listen for lovers of ambient music, or even beginners."
- Prism Reviews

"Wire is a successful kosmische style flight into the imagination; an album that also channels South America’s own burgeoning adventures in electronic and analogue experimentation in the 70s; a dream cast traverse."
- Monolith Cocktail

"Wire" - the album title, blue cover artwork and musical style (oldschool electronics - "Argentinian Krautrock") all came to me in a dream. A dream with John Cale in it.
All that was left was to actually make the album. For the first time I employed a maximalist approach - layers upon layers, a miasma of synthesized sounds. All along there's a beam of brightness running through, which is why I decided to release the record on the first day of the new year, a day in which we are supposed to do what we want to keep doing all year long.
The hypertalented Dyb (dybmusic.bandcamp.com) co-authors "Why We Forgive" and Tape Recorders Stalwart Extraordinaire Mel Helmick contributes both to the artwork and the music.
As Stefan Zweig once said, "nothing you ever do with all your heart is done in vain".
